I have over 25 years of experience in Japan’s interior and home furnishings industry, working across sales, marketing, product planning, human resource development, and business development.
Later, through my experience in importing overseas products and managing sales and promotional events at major Japanese department stores, I came to realize that there are many remarkable products around the world — products with innovative ideas and beautiful design that are still largely unknown in Japan.
At the same time, I learned that bringing a product to Japan requires more than simply importing it. I believe it is equally important to understand the Japanese market and lifestyle, and to communicate each product’s unique value in a way that resonates with Japanese consumers.
Drawing on my years of experience working with products for everyday living — and continually thinking about what inspires people and what makes them feel comfortable — I founded AIONÉ JAPAN.
I hope to introduce outstanding ideas and designs from around the world to Japan, while respecting the passion and stories of the people who created them.
